Platform Rules

Version 2.0 · 16 October 2026 · ContainerTransport.io, operated by ANKA-BE SRL

Part A — Rules for every member

These apply to every company on ContainerTransport.io, whether it posts container moves or carries them.

A1 · Who we are and what we do

  • ContainerTransport.io is operated by ANKA-BE SRL, Rue des Francs Arquebusiers 31, 4600 Visé, Belgium, VAT BE 1008.854.636 ("we").
  • We run a digital platform and an AI agent (TruckerAI) that connect companies that post container moves (forwarders, shippers, importers, exporters) with transport companies that carry them.
  • We are not a party to the transport contract, not a carrier, not a freight forwarder and not an insurer. The transport contract is made directly between the posting company and the transport company that is awarded the container.

A2 · Your account

  • Company details (legal name, address, VAT number) must be true and kept up to date. One account per company; each user acts on behalf of that company.
  • You are responsible for everything done from your account, including actions you confirm that TruckerAI prepared for you. Keep your login private.

A3 · Everything runs on the record

  • Orders, quotes, awards, changes, releases, extra costs, documents and messages for a job are kept on the platform from posting to delivery and invoice.
  • A job agreed on the platform is run on the platform until it is delivered. Our protection and mediation only cover jobs booked and run here — we cannot help with deals taken off the platform.

A4 · TruckerAI, our AI agent

  • TruckerAI reads documents, prepares orders, quotes and messages, and watches deadlines. Anything with a consequence — awarding, cancelling, changing an awarded container, a price — only happens after a user of your company confirms it.
  • Check what TruckerAI read from a document before you confirm it. The price guide is an indication based on road distance and past deals, not an offer and not a guarantee.

A5 · Award = a binding agreement

  • When a posting company awards a container to a transport company's quote, both are bound for that container at the quoted price and the conditions stated on the order.
  • Each container is its own job: containers of one order may be awarded to different transport companies.

A6 · Changes after award

  • A change to an awarded container (date, address, container, references, price) only applies once the other side accepts it on the platform. Until then the original terms stand.

A7 · Cancellation and dead freight

  • A posting company may cancel an awarded container free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed loading/delivery time.
  • Between 24 and 12 hours before: 80% of the agreed price is owed to the awarded transport company as dead freight. Less than 12 hours before: 100%.
  • A transport company that cannot perform an awarded job must say so on the platform immediately, so the container can go to another transport company. Late cancellations and no-shows count against its reliability score (A10).

A8 · Waiting time and extra costs

  • The free time for loading or unloading is the one stated on the order; if none is stated, it is 2 hours. Waiting beyond it may be charged. Time spent at the terminal or depot is not part of that free time.
  • Extra costs (waiting, storage, extra stops, detention caused by the other side…) are requested on the order with the reason and approved or disputed there. Costs not requested on the order cannot be added later.

A9 · Payment between members

  • The transport company invoices the posting company directly; the posting company pays it directly — the agreed price plus approved extra costs and any dead freight.
  • The payment term is agreed between the two companies (for example 15 or 30 days from the invoice date) and is their own arrangement. We do not set it, and we are not a party to, or guarantor of, the payment.
  • Non-payment reported on the platform is recorded and affects the paying company's reliability score (A10).

A10 · Reliability score, warnings and removal

  • On-time performance, completed jobs, cancellations, payment behaviour and communication are recorded and shown as a score.
  • Breaking these rules can lead to a warning, lower visibility, suspension or removal. Forged documents, fraud, illegal cargo or abuse of other members lead to immediate removal.

A11 · When something goes wrong

  • Report it on the order. We review the record, speak to both companies and propose a fair outcome based on what was agreed and these rules (see containertransport.io/protection).
  • Our proposal is mediation, not a court judgment. Liability for the goods and the carriage stays with the transport company under the CMR Convention and its insurance.

A12 · Law, sanctions and conduct

  • Customs, tax, transport and sanctions law are respected. Smuggling, misdeclared or illegal cargo and dealings with sanctioned parties are prohibited.
  • No spam to other members, no scraping of the platform, no use of member data for anything other than the job it was shared for.

A13 · Personal data

  • Personal data is processed under the GDPR and our privacy policy (containertransport.io/privacy). Data shared within a job is used only for that job.

A14 · Fees

  • Transport companies are subject to a separate fee scheme, shown on the pricing page and in their account.
  • Forwarders and shippers use it free of charge until 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027 a yearly plan per company applies, TruckerAI included, at the price shown on the pricing page at that time. It is paid against a proforma by bank transfer; the official invoice follows via PEPPOL once paid.
  • The forwarder plan has no commission and no fee per container. Any price change is announced at least 30 days in advance.

A15 · Our liability

  • We provide the platform and TruckerAI with care, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that a container will receive quotes.
  • We are not liable for losses arising from the transport dealings between members. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the fees the member paid us in the 12 months before the event, except for fraud or intent.

A16 · Changes to these rules; law

  • We may update these rules with at least 30 days' notice. For material changes we ask members to accept the new version; continued use after the notice period counts as acceptance.
  • These rules are governed by Belgian law. Disputes with us go to the competent courts of Liège, Belgium. Transport-contract disputes between members are settled between them under the applicable transport law, including the CMR Convention.

Part B — Rules for forwarders and shippers

For companies that post container moves.

B1 · Post complete and correct details

  • Container type and number, gross weight (say so for heavy 20' over 20 t), dangerous goods (ADR class and UN number), reefer temperature, out-of-gauge dimensions, addresses, dates and time windows, terminal and depot, references.
  • Costs caused by wrong or missing details (overweight fines, wrong equipment, a wasted trip) are borne by the posting company.

B2 · Release, documents and customs on time

  • Provide the release / PIN, delivery order and customs status in time for the planned move.
  • Demurrage, detention, storage or waiting caused by a late release, missing documents or a customs hold are borne by the posting company.

B3 · Award, change and cancel on the platform

  • Award, change and cancel containers on the platform, so the transport company is told exactly what changed and the record stays complete. Cancellation tiers: A7.

B4 · Pay the transport company

  • Pay the agreed price, approved extra costs and any dead freight directly to the transport company within the agreed term (A9). Repeated non-payment leads to suspension.

B5 · Your plan

  • From 2027 posting and TruckerAI require an active yearly plan (A14). Until 31 December 2026 everything is free.

Part C — Rules for transport companies

For companies that quote on and carry container moves.

C1 · Licences, insurance and port access

  • A valid transport licence, carrier's liability (CMR) insurance, VAT registration and the port access the job needs (e.g. Alfapass in Antwerp, terminal registrations); ADR-certified drivers and vehicles for dangerous goods.
  • We may ask for copies and check them at any time. Jobs may only be carried while compliant.

C2 · A true profile

  • Ports served, equipment (20', 40', HC, 45', reefer/genset, ADR, heavy 20', open top, flat rack) and delivery countries are kept accurate — jobs are matched to you on this profile.

C3 · Quotes

  • Quotes are all-in or clearly itemised. A quote is binding for its validity; charges cannot be added later except approved extra costs (A8).

C4 · Carrying the job

  • Pick up and deliver on the agreed day and time window; report any delay immediately on the platform. Update the status at pick-up and delivery.
  • Check container and seal at pick-up and delivery; report damage or discrepancies at once, with photos. Return empties to the instructed depot within the free time.
  • Respect EU driving and rest times, weight and dimension limits and cabotage rules.

C5 · Subcontracting

  • A job may only be subcontracted with the posting company's consent. The awarded transport company stays responsible for it.

C6 · Proof of delivery and invoice

  • Upload the proof of delivery (signed CMR / POD) within 2 working days of delivery, and invoice the posting company directly (A9).

C7 · Fees for transport companies

  • Transport companies have their own fee scheme, separate from the forwarder plan. The terms that apply are shown on the pricing page and in the account; any fee or change is announced at least 30 days in advance (A14).

These rules apply together with the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy. What happens when a job goes wrong: /protection. Acceptance is recorded per company with version, date, user and IP address. Questions: info@containertransport.io.
